Dimensions and scoring
The assessment covers six dimensions: strategy and leadership; data foundations; governance and risk; technology and platforms; people and skills; and use cases and value.
Each answer scores from 1 to 5. A dimension score is the average of its two answers, and the overall score is the average of the six dimensions, each weighted equally. Levels: Initial (below 2), Developing (2 to below 3), Established (3 to below 4), Advanced (4 to below 4.5) and Leading (4.5 and above). Recommended next steps depend on each dimension score: below 2.5, 2.5 to 3.9, or 4 and above.
Limitations
This is a self-assessment based only on your answers. It does not compare your organisation with others, and it is not an audit. Your answers stay in your browser unless you choose to save the result to your account.
Questions
Is this a benchmark against other organisations?
No. It is a self-assessment. The score reflects your own answers against a fixed scale, not a comparison with peers.
Who should complete it?
Someone with a broad view of data and AI in the organisation. Comparing answers from several leaders is often revealing.
Is my data stored?
Only if you choose "Save to account". Otherwise your answers stay in your browser.
