Code of Conduct
ConfX brings together professionals from many industries, countries and backgrounds. This Code of Conduct applies to everyone who takes part in our events and online spaces, including attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, partners, staff and contractors. It covers in-person events, executive roundtables, workshops, dinners, receptions, online sessions and our website.
1. Our expectations
- Treat everyone with respect, courtesy and professionalism.
- Engage constructively in discussions, including when you disagree.
- Respect the Chatham House Rule where it applies: information shared may be used, but the identity and affiliation of the speaker and other participants must not be revealed.
- Use contact details and introductions only for the purpose for which they were shared.
- Follow the instructions of ConfX staff and the rules of each venue, including health and safety guidance.
- Consume alcohol responsibly at social events.
2. Unacceptable behaviour
We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, intimidation or abuse in any form, including on the basis of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion or belief. Unacceptable behaviour also includes unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention, offensive comments or imagery, sustained disruption of sessions, recording or photographing private sessions or individuals without consent, and aggressive or deceptive selling.
3. Sponsors and exhibitors
Sponsors and exhibitors must keep promotional activity to their allocated spaces and sessions, respect attendees’ decisions not to engage, and use attendee information only in line with the permissions attendees have given.
4. Speakers
Speakers should keep sessions educational and relevant to the audience, keep company introductions brief, and avoid content that breaches this Code. Speakers must have the right to use any material they present.
5. Reporting concerns
If you experience or witness behaviour that breaches this Code, please speak to any member of ConfX staff at the event or email info@confxglobal.com. We will treat reports seriously and confidentially, and we will not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
6. Consequences
We may take any action we consider appropriate in response to a breach, including a warning, removal from a session or event without refund, suspension or closure of a website account, and exclusion from future events. Where appropriate, we may involve venue security or law enforcement.
